Too Faced Closes Doors on Glam Status

If you're like me, you signed up on the websites of your favorite cosmetic companies for exclusive offers and promotions, as well as to find out when new products were launching and which products were going goodbye to the graveyard of discontinuation. (And if you haven't, please do so for up-to-date information and special deals!)

This is bittersweet, as I have enjoyed racking up my points on Too Faced, but they have decided to close their Glam Status program with the impending launch of a brand new website. They promise "exciting additions" to the online experience, and I do look forward to seeing the changes. If you subscribed to their emails, you should have received a personalized 20% code as a thank you for participating in the Glam Status program, which expires 45 days from the send date. (For reference, I received my code on Wednesday, June 26.)

If you didn't know, the Glam Status program offered multiple tiers of rewards, including early access to their vintage sales, extra samples, and add-on bonus items to your order. I hope that their new website will offer a different kind of rewards program, but I won't know until they launch the new site!

For the July 4th weekend, Too Faced will ship your order for free with code JULY4, available on any purchase. This code expires on July 4th, 11:59 PST. They recently added the Fall 2013 Francesca Eastwood collection to the site, which includes all new products.

For the perfect bronzed glow, the recently repackaged bronzers are a perfect pick, available in a variety of shades for every skin tone. They even added 2 more to the lineup! I get insane wear time out of these, on the hottest of days with temperatures rising above 100 degrees. If I could buy every single shade I would, and my dream value kit includes one of each.

To keep your makeup from sliding off, I recommend EVERY SINGLE ONE of their primers, including Lip Insurance, Shadow Insurance, and Primed & Poreless. It is rare to find a single company that makes each of these different types of primers equally, but in my opinion, Too Faced does it with ease, and still has time to go sailing.

What are your plans for Independence Day? Any speculation on the new Too Faced website? I'd love to know what you think, just comment below.

LUSH Easter Haul

Over the Easter holiday, I had a chance to stop by my favorite LUSH store inside the Glendale Galleria. The shampoo and hair treatment I bought for myself, while the majority of the bath items were for my son. He lavishly enjoys his bath-time, and would find it remiss if his mildly warm bathwater was not brimming with bubbles and turned a strange color.

I've had the chance to use the items that I did get for myself, and the reviews are coming shortly, along with complete product information including pricing and ingredients. In case you are bursting with curiosity about how these products perform, I will say I was very pleased- even impressed- with my full sized products and my samples!

MAC Preview Party Exclusive Photos and Recap

I just realized I forgot to show you guys the pictures I took for the Baking Beauties preview party at my MAC PRO store! Actually, the first few pictures were taken the day after as there were so many people and I'm so freaking short that I was barely able to take any on the actual night.
I didn't know what to expect when I was invited, as this was a first time for me. I attended a Sephora VIB event last fall, but this was COMPLETELY different. There were makeup artists and makeup lovers, caterers and cake decorators,  musicians and models, and photographers and bloggers crammed into the store like sardines.
Besides Baking Beauties, other collections were being sold simultaneously. In Extra Dimension, Nudes & Metallics, and Fashion Sets were also featured. I already got everything I wanted from In Extra Dimension and Fashion Sets from my lovely local MAC counter, so I focused on the PRO only collection and Baking Beauties instead. Something told me to wait in line for what I wanted before enjoying the party, and that feeling paid off as I was able to get everything I wanted. Almost everything was sold out by the end of the party! (If you were wondering why there's never enough stock on launch day, this might be the answer. Just a hypothesis.)
Please read ahead to see the photos, as this post is mildly photo heavy.
